Season 2023/2024, A Season for AVFC to win Silverware

Unai Emery, a manager with a track-record for winning trophies, has, in less than one full season, lifted our Villans from an identity crisis in the lower ranks of the Premier League to rubbing shoulders with the elite teams and a berth in the UEFA Europa League. Concurrently, owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens have built an impressive front office around him with Ramón Rodriguez Verdejo (Monchi) head of Football Operations.

This group was able to quickly add depth to the squad with the acquisitions of Moussa Diaby (24), Pau Torres (26), Youri Tielemans (26), Nicolò Zaniolo (24), and Clément Lenglet (28). The common denominator is that each has represented their country, has played in European competitions, and is still at the apex of their career.

The increased number in the squad is necessitated by the proliferation of games at home and abroad that top teams now must play. The extra benefit is the backup given to our first eleven when injuries occur.

This website will attempt to keep up with coverage of the various contests our Villans will play in. As we boldly predict, Villa fans’ 18-year wait since the team last brought a trophy back to Birmingham should soon be over.

Not only will we deliver detailed Premier League Game Reports with line-ups and substitutions the morning after the game, but we will provide you with Premier League Pregame Assessments that will prepare you for what our Villans will be facing. These will be posted the morning prior to Game-Day.

In addition, there will be links to video highlights, upcoming scheduled games, fitness news, transfer rumors, and more, and you will also be able to expand your understanding of the game with over 100 soccer terms defined by experts.
