Welcome Villa Fans to 2024-2025

Welcome Villa fans to the dawning of a new era!   A Champions League era.  The 2024/25 Premier League Season will start Friday August 16.  Our Villans will start their season, the next day, Saturday August 17 at London Stadium against West Ham.

The campaign will run over 33 weekends, four midweek rounds and one Bank Holiday match week.

It ends on Sunday, May 25, 2025, and, for our Villans, their last game of the Premier League season will be at Old Trafford where they will play Manchester United.

For many of us long term AVFC fans, it is a delightful moment for which we give manager, Unai Emery, tremendous credit.  He built the team on the field and in the front office that led our Villans to secure 4th place in the Premier League and entry into the top league in the world, UEFA Champions League, in his first full season.  When he arrived in November 2022, the team was hovering just above the relegation zone.

By the end of that season (2022-2023), the team, under his guidance, had conjured up 7th place and entry into the Europa Conference League in 2023-2024.  Despite a thin squad and key player injuries, our Villans found a way to exceed all expectations, reaching the semi-finals in the Europa Conference competition and, in the Premier League, place ahead of Spurs, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Manchester United to join Man City, Arsenal, and Liverpool as the new Fab Four.

The challenge for this 2024-2025 season will be to build on that success by remaining in the elite group in the Premier League while advancing into the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League.

This website will track every step along the way: transfers in and out, injuries, suspensions, Villa Premier League results and reports, UEFA Champions League results and reports and editorial assessments.
